Shaunda Turner, MSEd, MHC-LP
My mission is to empower individuals to change and find the best version of themselves they can imagine. As a psychotherapist with a servant heart developing a genuine rapport with a client is the key to the therapeutic process; while providing an empathetic, non-judgmental, and safe space for clients to grow. With over 20 years of experience working in the social service non-profit sector some of my areas of focus are anxiety, depression, life transitions & coping skills. I enjoy working with teens, young adults and adults using a person-centered approach; treating clients that struggle with anxiety, depression, relationship issues and coping skills. Collaboratively we create a customized treatment plan and set goals that will lead you to healing and self-discovery. Using cognitive behavioral therapy, reality therapy and motivational interviewing we identify your strengths, while developing tools and techniques to create a life you desire.
A little bit about me: self-care includes the beach, eating delicious food and watching tv; especially football. My relaxing time consists of listening to music, reading, and meditating to keep me focused on my goals. Interacting in diverse cultural events grows my self-awareness, mental and physical healing, and brings me joy.
